Maui Sunset A212

Our stay was great a 4 overall, we stayed in A212 Dec 13-27, it was our first time staying at Maui Sunset, the views were wonderful, the location is central and close to groceries and dining locations, the room was perfect for our family with a pull out couch and Murphy bed so our 15 and 17 year old boys could each have their own bed. My only complaints was seating, the one chair is broken and very uncomfortable, thus only left the couch to relax on, so tough for our family of 4 to relax and the other was the condo above needs their air conditioner fixed as it drips onto our balcony constantly, makes it annoying when sitting outside, therefore I would give the condition of the condo a 4, the other thing so would mention is the pool and the BBQs were kept very clean but there could be more supervision at the pool when large groups come it was too busy and tough to use the hot tub, we wanted to go in one of the nights but a big group had brought coolers and everything else and no one else could use the hot tub that night. The management company was good, the booking went smoothly, we received the code to get into our unit before arriving, other than that I never spoke to them. Booked the 5 sleeper because we have 2 big boys. Very clean suite and meticulously maintained grounds/pool. Blankets are awful. Little fuzzy ones with a sheet. Air conditioning is old and turns off after 4 hours max which is fine on regular days but not during extreme heat. Was told to come back for a pool key as it wasn’t ready for us and we went to get the second one and it was never given. The manager said we didn’t ask communication issues I suppose. The strict pool in and out policy proved to be a little challenging with a special needs child with only 1 key. Overall a nice place.

Aloha, Great to have you stay with us at the Maui Sunset Vacation Rentals. The condo suite is a 1 bedroom 2 bath and sleeps a max of 5. We do try to show how the additional 3 people would utilize the pull out sofa and a single murphy bed. Great for families, or even two couples. We do hope you try us again, and we'd recommend our larger 2 bedroom 2 bath suite, sleeps 7 with 5 beds. A temporary fob is provided until guests register at the building office during office hours. We are working with them to update the system to make it easier for all.

Our suite was in Building A Oceanview with beautiful sunshine right on the ocean. The center court at Maui Sunset is spectacular. The grass is like a putting green. This suite had no carpet which I loved and it was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen. We used the in suite washer & dryer & appreciated having pool towels as well as many towels. Laundry soap was not provided but we bought pods from the Safeway. We did have a problen getting the code in time as we missed office hours due to the email not arriving the day prior. In fact the email did not arrive until 9 pm the night of check in. I had to phone the booking agent abd have the code texted. I would suggest sending the code the day prior as day of travel there is no wifi while in flight. I recommend Maui Sunset. Turtke viewing just down the beach. We love Maui!

Great location and people. The management was excellent and the condo was perfect for what we needed as a family of 4. The grounds and BBQ stations were kept in immaculate condition. The pool area was perfect for our teenagers, who also enjoyed the tennis and shuffleboard courts.
Security and all other staff we encountered were very friendly.
Condo was clean and well kept, nice view, and the balcony was a nice size for a family of 4.
Would recommend this location and condo complex. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time in Kihei. The condo was very nice and had everything you need.
I would only say that the view from the Lania was nice if you could see the ocean etc, The seating is low and the railing blocks all of the nice view. I would suggest the owners replace the seating and table with a high set to maximize the view.
Other the that the condo is very nice.
We look forward to coming to Maui Sunset real soon.

Amazing resort, wonderful stay that added to overall experience. Unit was well stocked, clean and everything functioned. Grounds were clean/well groomed, beautiful plantings with daily maintenance. Pool/Hot tub also had daily maintenance and enjoyable. View of ocean and sunset was unbelievable and within literally steps of the resort! Reasonably close to amenities (could walk) and on a Main Street that would quickly get you to where you needed to go. Security in attendance gave added comfort. Would highly recommend.

We visited Maui during the month of Sep23 , The one bedroom condo was great , with ocean view , just walkable away from Beach great Sunset views . Room was neatly maintained , Comes with portable beach chairs and snorkeling gear . Had great time for 4 nights

1) Staff hours were limited. Wasn't able to get pool key fobs until next day!
2) Staff was very unfriendly
3) Air conditioning was unacceptable (window units on a timer and not sufficient to cool unit!)
4) Dirty washcloth in shower when we arrived!
5) Sofa bed mattress badly stained and with hair all over it!
6) Refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed
7) Internet and TV was not working! Maintenance man was hateful and insulted us when he came to check it!
8) Hot tub wasn't working!

Very nice and peaceful. Happy to be back at our favorite Kihei Resort. A-212 exceeded our expectations. We had plenty of paper goods and toiletries! Weather was extremely windy with rain, but all in all a relaxing time.

No-key entry was hassle free, as we arrived on Sunday (office was closed), as well as it was easy to obtain temp key to the pool same day. Grounds/pool are immaculate, as these being cleaned on daily basis. Condo had all needed items for no-stress stay and even included 2 beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys and snorkling gear. Walkable distance to food/shopping (15min), if no car.

Very relaxing, beautiful view, lots of amenities. They provide all the kitchenware, multiple beds, access to bbq grill, snorkeling and snad castle building equipment. Quiet area. Good environment. Close to some good restaurants and food trucks. Loved it!

Unit 212 was perfect for the two of us. It was clean upon arrival and our mid-stay cleaning was welcome. The kitchen was well appointed, but the stove kept beeping and one of the burners did not work. The service team came out one time to work on it, but it was never resolved. Other than that, everything was in good shape. We would return to this unit at Maui Sunset!

Everything you need - we found the place to be clean - easy to get into and set up for our week long vacation. Wasn't the newest furniture but it was nice - and we did so many adventures just needed a clean play to get ready for the day and sleep at night. Outside grounds were beautiful and I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning for my coffee and taking in the view. Pool area was very nice and hot tub relaxing. Great location with restaurant and shopping just down the road. Enjoy your stay and relax I would love to stay here again.

From the first interaction I knew this would be wonderful. Steve was responsive, friendly and informative. When we arrived after check in hours, we made our way to our unit and settled in with ease. Unit was very clean, with enough bedding and towels for our family of 5. Beds were comfortable, fans and air conditioning kept us cool, kitchen well stocked and view of the pool, ocean and grounds were better that I’d expected. They had a beach chair that we used daily, pale, snorkel, boards for our kids. The games cupboard by the pool with Tennis rackets, putters, shuffle board game and pickle ball was a highlight for evening bbq times. Would definitely recommend the Maui Sunset to friends and family.

We had 4 families in different condos at the Maui Sunset location. It's a great setting for young and old alike. Took advantage of the communal barbeques almost every night. Pool and excursions during the day. The staff was extremely helpful in booking excursions for our large group. Enjoyed the large grassy area on site both during the day and at night for our glow in the dark bocce ball games.
The few minor problems that arose where attended to almost immediately.
This is our second time here with multiple families.
We will absolutely come again.

We enjoyed our stay. As you drive up building is not that impressive. Units are a bit dated but once you open the patio door and take a look outside you will be pleased with the ocean view and lovely lawn (like a golf course) . Nice pool. Enjoyed our walks on beach. I’m surprised the condo board/management allows housekeeping to use shopping carts from Longs and CVS. Surely they could afford to purchase proper housekeeping carts.You need to rent a car-Not great for walking to shops and restaurants as it’s a busy road with few sidewalks. Visit Coconuts and Nalu for great food.

Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel service. The staff was wonderful, always willing to help when needed. The hotel was located in a great location, pretty much in the middle of everything. In few minutes you could be at the mall, beach and other major stores. The hotel has everything, outside grill, pool, and a small gym. The things that I like the most were the beach and kitchen amenities available for use, no rental required. The only thing I was not completely satisfied was the gym use since it was required to check in at the main office every time you wanted to use it. If I was giving the option for any recommendation, I recommend making the gym use the same way as the pool.

Our 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit was perfect for the 2 of us. It would have been nice to have a queen size bed but the double was comfortable. The unit was well equipped with overhead fans inside as well as on the lanai.
We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from our 2nd story unit. The pool and BBQ areas were always in immaculate condition.
Overall, we loved the location and the staff and booking process were very professional.
We will definitely be back and would refer this property to family & friends.

This is our 3rd time at Maui Sunset and the reason why is the location. The staff are all very polite and if concerns arise are readily available to find resolutions to make both parties happy. It is a family atmosphere and getting to know owners as friends since coming year after year. Since these buildings are on the older side I would suggest getting pictures sent to show the exact unit you would be getting. Getting pictures with the statement “or similar to” does and should not work for you. Very upsetting when you book 10 months in advance and think you are booking the condo that the picture showed only to open the door and be very disappointed. One phone call and the next day we were moved however this instance should not hav3 happened. After that our stay was wonderful and would recommend Maui Sunset...

The location is great and the resort is very clean, and comfortable. There are many restaurants near by and so is the supermarkets. Been to Kehei many times and never get tired of it.There are many attractions & activities to enjoy year round.

The trip was good from flight out of Denver to the flight back to Denver. I especially like Kihei over other areas in Maui. I find people to play bridge with locally, go swimming or working out with very easily and generally love the location of Maui Sunset. The sun sets are amazing.

Our first family vacation to Maui. Eerything was spectacular!! Rooms were nice and Cozy and clean! The people were wonderful and accommodating! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained! Lots of activities for the kids! Nice location!
