Maui Sunset A321

Maui Sunset was the perfect place for our family. We really liked being in Kihei and being a short drive to the other surrounding areas. Pool and hot tube was great after a long day of exploring.

This was our 3rd stay at Maui Sunset and we were very disappointed with the unit this time. It was clean on the surface but floors and carpets were dirty area rug in living room was dirty and a trip hazard with the edges turning up. We requested maintenance on a sliding glass door screen and never received a reply or repair. Some sort of response should have taken place. All the TV's did not work properly. The one in the main area would not turn on with the Spectrum remote as was posted on the remote. When we did get it turned on there was no way to control the volume to hear anything. The dust behind the TV and furniture was terrible. The screen to the lanai would constantly come off the track and we had to fix it ourselves. It needs a DEEP cleaning. For the amount we paid for this visit we expected conditions much better than this. We paid a cleaning fee as well as the prior renters so there is no reason this unit was not thoroughly cleaned. This stay did not compare with prior visits. We love the location but were unhappy with the unit. With this experience we could not recommend Maui Sunset to our friends.

This truly is the perfect place to stay. Stunning views off of the lanai. Beautiful resort, extremely relaxing. Great to have a full kitchen, comfortable beds, washer/ dryer is icing on the cake! And did I mention the views from the deck? We will 100% be back booking the condo. The only drawback is the automatic shut offs of the air conditioning units. I totally understand the need to conserve electricity and not keep them running. But waking up in the middle of the night today warm and sticky bedroom to turn the air conditioning back on was a drive back, but would not stop us from coming back. Closet full of all the things you need for the beach, chairs, coolers, children’s beach toys, even some spare water, shoes and sunscreens left by previous tenants. In case you forgot, something....You won’t be disappointed.

The view from the Lanai was worth every penny. We spent a lot of time out there enjoying the weather and the view.

Location is perfect for walking over to the 8 pickleball courts and playing every morning.

Only negative is the bathrooms are really small.

Our 2 BR unit was very clean, we knew it was a little dated. Awesome view. Check in was easy. Steve as always was very helpful and professional with the reservations. The grounds and pool were being constantly maintained. Pool and hot tub temps were perfect. This was my 3rd stay there and I hope to return soon, excellent location for restaurants and shopping.

We enjoyed our stay. Great ocean view from A321. Interior condition was good, but not updated recently. Refrigerator ice maker inoperative and not repaired during our stay - we managed OK.
The pull-up sofa bed was uncomfortable -- apparently more comfortable to leave lower cushions as a bed surface for sleeping.

This was a great family vacation. Unit little dated but wasn’t a issue as we had what we needed. We had other units rented in the family but everyone ended up in ours because the lanai was awesome.

A wonderful location. Beautiful balcony and view. Very comfortable with lots of room for a family. Living room furniture stained and could be replaced. Beds comfortable. Extra sheet set was dirty on check in and had to request replacement. Overall a nice place to stay. Updating furniture would improve the unit.

Our condo stay at Maui Sunset A321 was wonderful. The view was amazing. The morning breeze, the sunset, watching the waves, watching the para boarders, every day was beautiful.
The condo comfortable and well furnished. Comfortable beds, kitchen stocked with dishes, pots and pans.
We would stay here again!

Our stay at Maui Sunset was perfect and magical! The sunsets from our lanai were breathtaking! The beach is right there to go sit on the grassy shelf and see the sunset touch the ocean. The condo was spotless and so well stocked with everything you need. The beds and pillows were heaven! The pool was cleaned every morning and the grounds were immaculate. Very much recommended this to anyone whether a family or a getaway for couples as well.

We recently stayed at Maui Vacation Rentals and loved our experience. We had a great unit on the 3rd floor with an amazing view. Both bedrooms and the main living space all had fans and ac units. Washer and dryer in the unit. Parking was free and easy. And the condo was clean equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, beach supplies, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Great experience @ Maui Sunset! Beautiful views! Just what we needed. Unit could use an update but it was adequate. Unit had everything we needed except...the bathrooms are not ADA compliant and we had a 93 yr old with us. We did attempt to get a shower chair to no avail/no response. This is my only complaint.

Aloha Moira, So glad you were able to get away to Maui during the COVID pandemic. Maui is fortunate to be open again with the pre-travel test. Thankful our numbers remain low. Our oceanfront condo is not fully re-done, but we've updated key areas and are trying to keep the cost reasonable. None of the bathrooms at the Maui Sunset condos are accessible since the building was originally built in the '70's. Sounds like overall you had a wonderful trip, look forward to having you back. We loved the location of the condo. The lanai looked over the pool/park behind the complex. The sunsets were beautiful. The place is stocked with all the necessary beach equipment (umbrella, chairs, towels). The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking tools. My only complaint would be there was no extras in the kitchen like Ziploc bags, saran wrap, seasonings ,oil etc that I've had in other locations so be prepared to purchase those. Overall would highly recommend!

MAUI SUNSET IS A GREAT LOCATION AND PROPERTY IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND NICE, STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL MY VIEW FROM MY ROOM WERE AWESOME, ALL MY FAMILY STAYED AT PROPERTY AND THERE CONDOS WERE ALL UP TO DATE, MY CONDO 3RD FLOOR 321 (THAT I REMEMBER) HAD ALL THE HAWAIIAN FURNITURE BUT ALL THE BEST IN THE 2 BEDROOM CONDO WE OLD AND LUMPY AND LOP SIDED AND MY ENTIRE VACATION SLEEP WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND LEFT SOAR AND TIRED, I THINK THIS PROPERTY NEEDS TO SET A STANDARD FOR ALL CONDO OWNERS/RENTALS, MY FAMILIES CONDOS HAD ALL NICE BEDS
I WOULD DEFINITLY STAY THERE AGAIN JUST ASK FOR A UPDATED CONDO

A very pleasant experience at this property. The management co. was helpful on a number of occasions. Our suite was nearer the pool/tennis court/beach end and found the people traffic etc. entertaining to watch. BBQ/grills were an interesting place to meet others in the complex. All in all a good time.

We left and checked out after the first night. Our condo was not clean. The kids got many bug bites and where having allergy issues with in hours of our arrival. The good thing I can say is that the view was pretty awesome.

We have been to Maui multiple times over the years. We stay at Maui Sunset every time. My mother winters there and the grounds are beautiful. This unit was very nice - plenty of room and wonderful views with amazing sunsets. My only addition would be to the kitchen - there were not any tongs for the grill or spatula for cooking. They had plenty of glasses but not much in the way of plastic to go down to the pool. I purchased them so they are there now. Aloha to all!

The view was amazing. The grounds were very clean and large for activities. The issues we did have with the unit were, the furniture needs updating, more utensils needed in the kitchen, kitchen hood fan didn't work, fan above the kitchen table didn't work, tons of tiny ants in the master bathroom sink counter. Talked with a number of people about the issue. 3 days later a lady came in with a liquid trap. That helped a bit but they said there are everywhere and there's nothing we can do about it. We would go back but just not to that unit again.

The units were spacious and clean. the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes. It was nice to be right on the beach. Everything was easy to get to. We had a late check in and with security on site it was an easy check in.

Getting in late ( was difficult to figure out where to go and the woman on the phone couldn't help me as she had never been to the property so we were left to figure it out on our own

Location good, apartment roomy although a bit in need of renovation. All resort facilities clean and well cared for. Main problem was lack of on site staff to help with any queries or problems. Had to make contact by phone leave messages and then hope were around for return call, not good when on holiday. Also very disappointed that no safe place to leave bags when a long time gap between check out and flight times. Ended up agreeing to (happily) pay for evening check out, but this took 4 days from raising first query at reception to putting in place and getting confirmed, causing some anxiety in between about what we would do that day. This lack of personal contact for queries really marred our experience and detracted from the good points. All e-mail contact with main office very good, just local problems.

We have stayed at the Maui Sunset a few times over the years, always had an amazing experience & love the stunning grounds and views. This time our trip included three separate condos rented by our very large family, all two bedrooms. We had an amazing time, though our particular unit could most definitely use just a little attention. Updating linens, drapes & a fresh coat of paint would go a long way. The view was spectacular & the property is kept immaculate!

The condo was in a clean but poor condition. Doorlock was worn so hardly able to open. One unit of the stove didn't work. The washing machine broke down, causing a mayor flood in the hallway. Old kitchen cabinets. But the maintenance man did his best solving these problems. Furthermore the garden was beautiful and the pool was nice and clean...
