The A/C in second bedroom did not work. A/C in family was very difficult to get it on at all.

The floors were very dirty. Had to buy black socks while there.

Rental unit was clean, beds good, not the best equipped kitchen as we like to do a lot of cooking when we are there. Bbq grills were great, maintenance very responsive to our needs. Unit kitchen was very dated with older appliances, counters and cabinets. Showers only had curtains which billowed everywhere. Wish the pool opened before 8! Unit had 3 ac wall units able to cool quickly on the hot days when needed.
We have stayed at Sunset many times and will do it again.

There was two adults and three kids in our group and there was plenty of room. Place was clean and we felt right at home. They provided boogie boards and snorkle gear (for one). The gym was small with no windows but the equipment was in good shape and fine for a quick workout. Tennis rackets/balls and shuffle board equipment is provided and kept the kids entertained. The BBQ area was nice and not crowded. Grocery store is close by ($6 Uber). The beach at Maui Sunset is rocky in the water but nice. It's just a short trip (10-30 minutes) to lots of other really nice beaches more south and about 30-40 minutes to Kanaapali or Paia. The host was very responsive. We had an issue with ants and they sent someone the next day.

Perfect for a family of five. Cooler, chairs for the beach, umbrella, towels, well equipped kitchen. Condo was clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Oceanfront is a must!

We had a great time! Check in was super easy. Condo had everything we needed. It was so nice to have the beach chairs and towels available. I would say the only thing the housekeeping missed was the patio furniture was dirty so we had to wipe it down before using! Overall I would come again! Also, super easy to get to airport.

Unfortunately, the unit was in a terrible condition. The kitchen walls were dirty and food stained. Once we had the ants under control, washed the walls and floor daily, it was a little better. The liner curtains were torn, ripped and soiled. The carpet was stained and rippled so badly we were concerned that we might trip and fall. Dust covered every surface, especially the rattan furniture. Worn furniture can be expected in a rental. However dusty and soiled is not acceptable. As I said: once we got the ants under control the kitchen was better...This was our 7 th stay at the Maui Sunset. We sincerely hope the units will be in better shape the next time.

Very happy with the location of the condo. Not happy about the cleanliness of the condo. 1 chair was badly stained. stains on the carpet and it seems as the carpet was not vacuumed. Housekeeping took a picture of chair and left it there. very happy with location and view. Not so happy with condition of condo.

Very convenient location. The expansive and well-kept grounds and amenities added to a sense of relaxation. the top-floor unit offered great views, and was well-designed for large family. Staff were accommodating. Would consider renting in same building again.

unit was exactly as pictured. Furnishings were a little dated, having said that, it was clean and very comfortable. Appreciated having a kitchen that was well stocked. View could not be beat.!!!

Vacation in Maui, top notch life goal, a success. Knowing what I know now I would have stayed somewhere else, probably up by Lahaina as most activities were up that way, the beaches were nicer and condos appeared to be more up to date.
Our condo had amazingly beautiful views of the ocean, pool, shuffle board and tennis courts. However, one set of shuffle boards were totally stripped and was more of an eyesore and every night, every morning we went to bed and woke up with a homeless man sleeping on the tennis court.
Inside the condo was very outdated, bamboo or tiki hut style furniture, stained couches, old appliances, and small beds. Luckily we didn’t speed a lot of time in the condo, primarily a place to sleep. The air conditioning units were on timers where you had to twist a knob on the wall that set a timer similar to what you use in the kitchen when timing food. Once the timer was done your air conditioning was turned off until you reset the timer. Stains leading into the condo in the hall way and stains on the floor in the condo. No TVs in the bedrooms so if you are going to bed you have nothing to fall asleep to. All in all I would never stay in this condo again. Definitely paid too much for what you got.

Well to begin , the office closes a little too early for people traveling from Eastern Mainland . The security guard was new and gave us misinformation . We arrived on Saturday evening about 7:00 pm and told us we only had one key for four adults and no way to get to pool , hot tub and water activities . You need a fob to enter and he said that would be Monday . I called the booking agency and they tried to help but were unable . We did call on Sunday and get through to someone ,
It was about noon to 1:00 pm. We were upset because after a long plane ride it would of been great to soak in a hot tub. The manager would not compensate us however Travelocity did .

October stay in 2 bdrm standard ocean front - #519.
VERY dirty unit and clearly there is very little maintainence happening with the unit. Cleaned for HOURS. Ants. Covered couches with bedspreads b/c the couches were filthy and need replaced. Curtains falling off the rods/broken. Refrigerator ancient & needed service on day 2. Closet where towels were stored smelled very badly, so towels did, too. Carpet fairly new. Unit too filthy to return or recommend. Excellent view from balcony, balcony furniture nice, beds comfortable. Outside of #519, the pool area, bbqs, parking, workout facility and grounds VERY WELL maintained. Will return, but only through direct owner rental.

Loved the place. all equipped kitchen. Having the washer and drier as wonderful. The swim and snorkel equipment was a great surprise. Great location to see all the island. Would love to stay here again.

We came without an agenda, not even a rental car, and are completely satisfied with our experience. The grounds and guest area were kept extremely clean as was our unit. Our owners left all kinds of beach goodies that we were grateful to use...

Location was amazing overlooking the ocean and pool. Unit and furniture were very dated, needs upgrades. We originally booked a more updated unit but were moved to this one. I would not consider this a premium unit as it was described. Staff at Maui Sunset was very congenial and helpful.

Aloha! Thank you for choosing the Maui Sunset. Due to a rare event the original condo you booked was not available. When we spoke to you prior to your trip we discussed how this condo was not as renovated, but had an awesome view up on the top floor on the front of the complex. Our friend's rental was new and updated. Ours was more run down. Old appliances, in need of paint and new curtains, toilets leaked, a/c on timers. It worked for what we needed but after seeing our friend's rental, ours was not that nice.

Aloha, I did take a look at both reservations and it looks like your friends booked one of the premium suites, but not as nice of a view. Your condo A519 was oceanfront and on top floor. I'll check up to make sure the running toilets are fixed. The kitchen is a bit dated, however its a great value for the price before they totally renovate. I do hope you return soon, please contact me so I can make sure you book a more renovated condo. Mahalo, Steve

While the condo is a bit dated, it was comfortable and beautifully located. Your staff is excellent. All in all a great stay.

Maui SunSet is the best location and well maintained property I have stayed at. I can't say enough about the location and views. A lot of activities and with supplied equipment You can really have a great time.

We had a wonderful time as usual. There were some problems with bugs but they were taken care of. Everyone was very helpful. We have a timeshare here and it's been awhile since we have visited it we love it every time.
